DWM 1914 Artillery Luger 9mm caliber pistol. Artillery Model World War I Issue. Dated 1915. Unit marked on front grip strap. “R 169.5.10.” This was the 169th (8th Baden) Infantry regiment. A brief history and photos of the regiment accompany the gun. Gun has 95-97% blue. Numbers match except for the magazine with is unnumbered and grips which look original to the gun but are not numbered to the gun. Bore has good rifling and is dark in the grooves. Gun has fine- tuned front and rear sights. Neat identified Luger with history of the regiment. Note: This pistol is serial number 477 without letter suffix. So, this would be made in early 1915 as the 477th artillery Luger made that year.
