This Luger has all the characteristics of the 1908 commercial 9mm DWM Luger but the frame and barrel are mismatched. The 4"" barrel has a very good bore with good rifliing and firing wear. The gun retains approx. 97% blue and 90% straw finish. The barrel, numbered 41198, has the correct 1908 commercial BUG proofs. The frame is numbered 69548 which is also in the 1908 serial number range. It is equipped with the hold open. The side plate, takedown lever, and trigger are numbered 48. The breechblock and toggle links are numbered 98. The grips and wood base magazine (marked 1) are unnumbered. The grips are very fine. The action functions correctly. This is an all correct 1908 commercial Luger, albeit with a mismatched frame and slide. It is priced accordingly.
