WWI Luger with a 4"" barrel, with serial number 2. This Luger was manufactured in 1915 and is marked ""R.J.R.222.1.9."" R.J.R is for Reserve Infanterie Regiment which means it was possibly for the Reserve Jaeger Regiment. All serialized parts are marked ""2"" and there is no evidence that this weapon has had a later rework or been restamped in any way. The lack of alphabetical lettering means that this luger was the second one to be issued in 1915. The pistol has 98% of its original finish. The bore is excellent with strong rifling. The grips show some light handling wear. A very rare WWI Luger!
