This 1914 Military 9mm Luger pistol is dated 1917. The 1914 Military has six features in combination: 1) DWM scroll on toggle; 2) Year date inscripriton (1913 to 1918) above the chamber; 3) Stock lug; 4) 4"" barrel; 5) Military proof marks; and 6) No signs of rework. This 1917 dated pistol has the above features. The barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. This P08 has approx. 95% blue with light edge wear and light spotting on the bottom of the sideplate. The straw parts retain approx. 90% of their finish. With two exceptions all parts, including the firing pin, match the serial number, 2056. The two exceptions are the wood base magazine withch is correct but not matching and the grips, one of which is numbered 66 (possibly a mistake). The checkered gripa are very good with even wear and no cracks or chips. The action functions correctly. This pistol is a fit for your WWI or Luger pistol collection.
