1915 WORLD WAR I DWM German Military LUGER P.08 9x19mm Para PISTOL WWI
C&R GREAT WAR Dated 1915 IMPERIAL GERMAN ARMY LUGER
Description: 1915 WORLD WAR I DWM German Military LUGER P.08 9x19mm Para PISTOL WWI C&R GREAT WAR Dated 1915 IMPERIAL GERMAN ARMY LUGER Here we present a C&R World War I Dated German DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) Pistole Parabellum P.08 Military Luger Pistol, made in 1915 in Berlin, Germany. Basing his design off Hugo Borchardt’s seminal C93, Georg Luger successfully brought Borchardt’s work to practical and productive fruition. While finding buyers for the C93 seemed an exercise in futility, the new Luger Pistol found many countries eager to test it and even adopt it. There are many variations in this field of collecting, but relatively few major changes in overall design from beginning to end. The Luger is certainly one of the most iconic firearms in history, made so by its association with being carried by German troops during both World Wars and is perhaps the most associated with those events. The top of the toggle is marked by the maker “DWM” and the top of the chamber is dated 1915. The right side of the barrel extension has the three (faint) “Crown/Script” German military proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof. The magazine is blued and of WWII vintage. There are no import markings and we believe that this was a World War I Luger that was still in Germany through World War II when it was picked up by an American serviceman and brought back to the US, where it was nickel-plated. The overall condition is very good. Refinished in nickel. The numbers match aside from the magazine. The action is excellent and the bore is bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4 inches. Caliber: 9mm Luger Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING. Will need to be sent to your local FFL or C&R licensee. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Guaranteed AUTHENTIC & Includes CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICITY. ancestryguns $2000 #228391 SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes |
