Fewer than 1,000 1906 Republic of Portugal Navy Lugers were delivered to the Portuguese Navy. They are easily identified by the R.P. over anchor incription on the top of the chamber. The 4\" 9mm barrel has a fine bore with light firing erosion. The serial number, 621, is found on the front of the frame and the bottom of the barrel. Small parts that are numbered 21 include the slide, trigger, take down lever, side plate, and each part of the toggle assembly. The toggle has the DWM inscription. This pistol retains aprox. 85% blue with wear on high spots and the grip straps.The grip safety and a couple of other areas have freckling. The strawed parts are turning dark. The correct nickel plated unnumbered wood base magazine is present. The unnumbered grips are excellent. The action functions correctly. This is a rare good looking 1906 Republic of Portugal Navy Luger. These don‚t come on the market often. (PR54855)
