Description:
Classic DWM 1920 Commercial Luger, cal. .30 Luger, as assembled by DWM during the Weimar period, some guns were reworked, others made from newly manufactured components. This example with blank chamber having a 3 5/8" barrel, drift-adjustable front sight, and fixed V-notch rear sight. Full serial number with letter suffix marked on forward frame and repeated under the barrel along with the Crown N proof that was also applied to the left side of the barrel extension and left side of the breechblock. Front toggle link with the intertwined DWM initials. Usual small parts with the last two digits of the serial number to include the takedown lever, sideplate, trigger, and rear toggle link. Breech block marked "94" on rear surface. Firing pin, safety lever, sear block, and the inner surfaces of the checkered beech grips are unnumbered. Tinned body magazine with walnut plug secured by a fire blued pin.
Condition:
Near excellent as reworked, the barrel seemingly more recently polished, though the numerals and letters still retain their cratered halos. Minor handling marks at bottom of frontstrap. Comparable condition strawed small parts, several retaining their original machining marks. Sharply checkered beech grips with oil darkening, no cracks or noticeable losses. Minimally frosted bore with very sharp rifling. Correct manual mechanics.
