Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabriken (DWM) marked Lange Pistole 08 (LP 08) (Artillery Luger) chambered in 9mm Luger. Adopted in 1913 by the Imperial German Army initially for use by Artillery units, but later adopted by other specialty units on the Western Front in the First World War. The pistol appears to have all matching serial numbers with a stamped 1914 year of manufacture. Comes with a dark brown leather flap holster, leather suspending straps, a cleaning rod, and takedown tool. Please Note: This firearm is exempt from SBR (Short-Barreled Rifle) rules because the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) has classified certain historic, stocked handguns, including the Luger and Mauser "Broomhandle," as collector's items that are not subject to modern National Firearms Act (NFA) regulations. However, it is still restricted in some states by local law. 9mm Luger
