Description:
The Luger is one of the most iconic hand guns ever produced. Its toggle-bolt design was borrowed from the Borschert pistol and improved upon by Georg Luger. Curiously the design was prompted, not by the German military, but by the Swiss. The Model P08 was adopted by the German military and the pistol served from then until the middle of WWII, by that time the P38 had become the standard pistol. The Luger (P08) was, and is, one of the most elegant firearms ever mass-produced. It was, however, nearly hand-built, with all the hand-honing to fit, and polishing required by the old-world craftsmanship demanded by the makes who built them. This one is in very good condition with clear stamps throughout, and matching s/ns where they can be seen. There is a little wear from holster contact, especially on the high points and around the muzzle. YOM: 1920 9mm Luger
