This matching Military & Police No Date, Police p.08 is uncommon. It has the key four features: 1. the scroll DWM marked toggl; 2. the blank chamber; 3. no Imperial military proofs, and 4. Weimar Police marks on the front grip strap. The 4\" 9mm barrel has an excellent bore with brght, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 92% blue with the grip straps and side plate fading. It has approx. 85% straw finish on the small parts. It has German crown over N proof marks and a WaA66 Mause/Simpson 1930-1933 rework stamp on the right side of the receiver. It also has the standard police sear safety spring installed. All parts including the pencil-numbered grips match. The magaaine is numbered to the gun. The front grip starap has the police marking of L.G.406. which is for a rural police district. The action functions correctly. The holster, with a unit-marked combination tool (P.He.297.) and spare numbered but mismatched magazine, is very good. The inside flap is marked with the maker‚s name, HxxxxxER over 1918 over NEU ULM. Below that is S.P.O. 1168 and REX is stamped in ink.
