This is a 3.9" German 1914 DWM P08 Luger with (1) one magazine, 8-round magazine. The handgun has matching numbers (2044 or 44) except for the magazine (4587 metal bottom, not wood). This is a World War I military contract pistol with much of its original finish, straw blueing, with original German arsenal, proof marks, and no import marks. The date is listed on the receiver as 1914. The checkered walnut grips are in good shape with somewhere and fit nicely to the frame. The metal and finisher in good condition, as the original blueing is aging with some patina, with somewhere around the crown of the muzzle, the backstrap of the grip, the side of the receiver, and around the barrel. The trigger, toggle, safety, and magazine release all function smoothly. The barrel is in good condition with good rifling.
