DWM ~ P08 LUGER 1918 ~ 9MM LUGER

Description:
The "Luger" pistol was developed in the late 1800s as a military and police weapon, and first adopted by the Swiss in 1900. There were refinements along the way, but the pistol was accepted by the German Army in 1908 and remained in production through the end of WWII. The Swiss actually issuing it until the early 60s. They represent the best of pistol production, with a quality and elegance uniquely their own. With all the hand-fitting/polishing these pistols were given, they were more like "bespoke" firearms than factory guns. This one has matching serialized parts, and is in Very Good condition with good checkering, clear stamps, and a good bore. It was produced in 1918 by the DWM factory. 9mm Luger

Metal Condition: "Good to Very Good. There is some blue wear long the sharp edges and high points. Some very shallow corrosion, almost as thin as the blue.
Wood Condition: Very good. The diamonds are a little flettened and there is wear near the magazine knob.
Bore Condition: Shiny and bright.

Triggers: Factory single action only
Butt Pad: Checkered walnut.
Weight: 32 oz
Sights: Fixed post and notch.
