Description: Synopsis: Scarce DWM, 1915 Artillery Luger, German Military WWI, correct magazine. Description: 1915 was the second year that DWM made Artillery Lugers. All the early pistols, as per this example, fitted with fine tune front and rear sights. This standard configuration Artillery Luger from WWI, caliber 9mmP, has an 8 inch barrel and a rear sight fitted the usual 1-8 stops for cursor elevation. Chamber dated 1915 with intertwined DWM on front toggle link. Usual proofs on right side of barrel extention. Full serial number on forward frame, under barrel, and left side of barrel extention. Last two digits on all usual small parts, including the grips, though the cursor "56" and the magazine plug numbered 2133a. Original stock numbered 7578 on left side of neck; lug numbered 2557c. Reproduction holster/associated leather dated 1915. Rig is complete with straps, double magazine pouch, boot, and cleaning rod. No take down tool. Condition: VG as reblued and restrawed. Markings remain crips and planes flat. Oil darkened grips with surprisingly sharp checkering. Exc original magazine. Gernerally bright bore, light oxidative etching, easily discernable rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. VG stock with near EXC reproduction leather.
