Super Rare 1906 DWM Luger Rig - Dutch Contract 9mm 1930s WW2 / WWII Interwar Period
Description: This is a very rare DWM Luger that was completed and delivered by Mauser to the Dutch. There were only 644 of this variation produced according to Still's book on Third Reich Lugers. It's all matching numbers with unmarked grips and magazine. The pistol has nearly all of the bluing remaining but was likely arsenal refinished when completed by Mauser. The plaque on the left side of the pistol is marked 'Mgd.Pd.31', indicating that the pistol was send to the Medical Corps at Padang Hospital. Dutch crown proof is visible on the right side of the receiver. Safety correctly marked 'RUST'. The is some freckling under the blue in a few areas, and some pitting on the frame under the grips. Bore is shiny but rifling is smoothed down throughout. The pistol also comes with a rare, original holster that is also maker/unit. Read upside, it says 'CW / N / 7 56 /A L'. The holster is a M.11 East Indies Army variation that was made by Artillery Construction Shop, which uses the CW marking. The 'N' stands for new construction, meaning it was made some time after 1939. 'AL' is the inspector's mark, and '7 56' indicates it was made in July of 1956.
