Description: WORLD WAR I Dated DWM German LUGER P.08 9mm Semi-Automatic PISTOL C&R GREAT WAR Dated 1917 IMPERIAL GERMAN ARMY LUGER Here we present a C&R World War I Dated German DWM (Deutsche Waffen-und Munitionsfabriken) Pistole Parabellum P.08 Military Luger Pistol, made in 1917 in Berlin, Germany. Basing his design off Hugo Borchardt’s seminal C93, Georg Luger successfully brought Borchardt’s work to practical and productive fruition. While finding buyers for the C93 seemed an exercise in futility, the new Luger Pistol found many countries eager to test it and even adopt it. There are many variations in this field of collecting, but relatively few major changes in overall design from beginning to end. The Luger is certainly one of the most iconic firearms in history, made so by its association with being carried by German troops during both World Wars and is perhaps the most associated with those events. The top of the chamber is Great War dated “1917”. The top of the toggle is marked “DWM”. This pistol is a very nice example of a mid-World War I German Luger manufactured by DWM in 1917. The right side of the barrel extension has the three “Crown/Script” German military proofs next to the Imperial Eagle proof. The overall condition is fine. Original blue finish and straw colors. The action is excellent. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. The grips are solid. The left grip has a small sliver missing behind the safety. Numbers match throughout except for magazine. This firearm is classified as a Curio & Relic. Barrel is 4 inches. Caliber: 9x19mm Luger Overall condition as seen in photos. Very Fast. Very Safe. FREE SHIPPING.
