The package isn’t fancy, but it’s affordable. Really affordable. Even brand new, and even more so as a used gun. The gun is versatile and good for applications such as home defense, recreational shooting, etc.
The MC28 SA’s high grip low profile polymer frame makes it a pleasure to behold and hold. But more than that, it’s also thoughtfully designed. To wit, it has low profile three-dot combat sights. The front sight enjoys a shark’s fin profile while rear sight uses a Novak-cut.
The slide is cut back across the front half. It has the tiniest trio of grip serrations at the bottom in front and a nice collection of deep cut medium width full length ones in back. A nice touch is their rounded bottoms.
There is a three slot MIL-SPEC 1913 Picatinny rail under the recoil spring housing. There are three interchangeable backstrap grips. Thus, three different palm swells for three different sizes of hands.
The high grip leads to a medium length beavertail for excellent control. And there is a standard safety trigger and a firing block, both of which make accidentally discharging the gun difficult. There is also a red cocking indicator at the back of the slide providing a nice visual cue.
