This is excellent 26.5mm Luftwaffe Aviators Flare Gun L was made by Emil Eckholdt of Suhl. This early gun has crown over B followed by crown over U proofs followed by a circled 4 (4 bore or 26.5mm) on each barrel. The frame and barrel are serial numbered 460. The left side of the frame at the front is marked with the Luftwaffe contract number, Fl.24483. The left rear of the frame has ECKO in an oval (Emil Eckholdt) over a Luftwaffe eagle over an S. It retains approx. 95% of its black paint over aluminum finish. The grips are excellent with no cracks or chips. The action is break open with a bottom lever, a barrel selector on the rear, and safety on the left above the trigger. This is a super double barrel Luftwaffe flare pistol. Don't miss it!
