The 5"" barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 92% blue with wear on the grip straps. The left side of the slide is marked FABRIQUE - NATIONALE - D'ARMES de GUERRE - HERSTAL - BELGIQUE. over BROWNING'S PATEENT DEPOSE. There are proof and inspection marks on the barrel, slide, and frame. The rear of the frame is stamped SOM. The checkered hard rubber grips with the FN logo are fine with light wear. The action functions correctly. These fine automatic pistols were sold to Sweden, Russia, the Ottoman Empire, England, Holland, Estonia, El Salvador, and Paraguay for their military forces. It's a must for any military pistol collection.
