Description:
The Browning High Power traces to the French call for a new autoloading pistol with high capacity, and more power than their existing pistols. Browning developed the High Power to fill that request. Curiously the pistol, based to a degree on the 1911, was not produced for the French military to any great degree. It did become one of the most issued military and police pistols with dozens of governments using them. Often they faced each other across battle lines. This one was built under NAZI occupation of Belgium. It has been refinished but the stamps are all legible. 9mm Parabellum
