The Five-Seven pistol was originally developed as a compliment to the P90 series of PDW submachineguns manufactured by FN Herstal. Now available to the civilian market, the Five-SeveN is a versatile handgun chambered in the unique 5.7x28mm round giving it the compactness of pistol cartridges while allowing for higher velocities and accuracy normally associated with rifle rounds. The Five-SeveN features a polymer frame and outer slide with an inner steel slide for better weight and corrosion resistance. A cold hammer-forged barrel with a chrome-lined chamber and bore allows for unparalleled durability while the ambidextrous manual safety and reversible magazine release allows for easy accommodation to left-handed shooters.
