The FNX-45 Tactical is an enhanced variant of the base model FNX-45 that offers increased customization options to support various optics. The pistol utilizes FN‚s patented Low-Profile Optics Mounting System to allow for mounting over 10 different types of aftermarket optics through the use of adapter plates. The pistol also includes suppressor-height sights for co-witnessing with a chosen optic along with a slide cap that includes bump wings to protect the rear sight in the absence of a red dot optic. This model does not feature a threaded barrel.

This model features an all-black color pattern and tritium sights. Two 15-round magazines are included along with a Cordura nylon case, four interchangeable backstraps, and a sight mounting kit with additional adapter plates and screws.
