Description:
The FNH FNX™-45 Semi-Auto Pistol is a hammer-driven double-action/single-action semi-automatic pistol. A checkered, polymer mainframe with 2 interchangeable backstraps accommodates most any size hand and provides an ergonomic hold that enhances control when firing. An integral MIL-STD 1913 mounting rail on the underside of the frame accepts tactical lights and laser sights. The barrel and slide are stainless steel. The FNH FNX-45 Semi-Auto Pistol can be fired in either single-action or double-action mode and has a safety similar to the M1911 that allows the pistol to be carried cocked and locked. The safety also functions as a decocking lever. The manual safety/decocking levers, slide stop lever, and magazine release are all fully ambidextrous for ease of operation with either hand. The magazine well on the FNX is slightly funneled for easy insertion of the standard steel magazines. Disassembly and reassembly are quick and easy with no small parts to lose. The standard 3-dot sights are both dovetailed into the slide, allowing for windage adjustments and their easy replacement with optional aftermarket sights.
