Scarce 1940 FN 1922 WAa613 WW2 Named Bring Back Complete Rig Matching Mags 7.65mm
Description: Only 1% of all FN 1922's were marked with the WAa613 waffenamt. After the German invasion in May of 1940, FN finished up the belgian proofed pistols they had already started and in November began production of the first pistols made under German occupation with the WAa613 proof, they began production with serial number 20,000 and made 5,000 pistols with the WAa613 before they changed to the WAa140 which ran for the rest of the war. With nearly 500,000 1922 pistols made this early example is extremely rare in its own right let alone being a legitimate WW2 bringback with the original marked holster inscribed with the name and number of the GI who brought it back "Louis E. Reid." It also comes with 2 original magazines, the one in the gun has the same WAa613 as the gun and the spare mag is also waffenamt but with the WAa140 which is not uncommon for a spare magazine. Bore is bright with strong rifling but does have a small bulge about 1.5" from the muzzle but does not effect the function as the pistol is very smooth and functions perfectly. Overall condition is very good with normal wear and patina in the finish consistent with an issued pistol. See pictures for details, any questions please ask.
