Originally released and marketed as a law enforcement version of the military pedigreed Glock 19X, the Glock 45 (along with the 19X) is the first "crossover"-size Glock pistol chambered in 9mm Luger. Combining the full-sized grip length of the Model 17 and the shortened compact barrel/slide of the Model 19, the resulting Glock 45 allows shooters to have a full grip on the gun for handling and control, and a faster cyclic rate and easier holster draw that comes with the shortened upper. This combination has helped position the Glock 45 to one of the top-selling Glock pistols in the current Gen 5 series. This pistol for sale is an Austrian-manufactured Glock 45 MOS with Glock's own proprietary optics-mounting footprint. The optic cut allows the attachment of nearly all red dot optics with the use of an adapter plate, whether a Glock OEM part or one of many aftermarket plates available—even a small number of optics have been designed to mount directly to the slide without the use of an adapter! The pistol otherwise uses a set of standard plastic Glock sights with an open box rear aperture and white dot front sight. Improvements included in the Gen 5 Glocks are the 3.9" Marksman barrel, a safety which can be easily switched for either left- or right-handed shooters, the removal of front strap finger grooves combined with the pyramid RTF2 grip texture, an underbarrel accessory rail, ambidextrous slide lock/release lever, and a redesigned trigger with a slightly lighter pull compared to Gen 3 and 4 triggers (though arguably a less crisp break). The grip also can accept OEM backstraps to better fit a wide variety of shooters' hands. This Glock 45 MOS is in very good condition--nearly new. There is hardly any visible barrel wear or internal wear and the gun is in extremely clean condition. The gun is in fully stock configuration and includes one OEM 17-round Gen 5 magazine and one 17-round ProMag magazine. No box/case or backstraps are included with this pistol. 9mm Parabellum
