Available for sale is a Glock Model 22 Gen 4 chambered in .40 Smith & Wesson. The pistol is a full-size polymer-frame semi-auto striker-fired pistol made in the USA and carries 15 rounds in a flush-fit magazine. The fourth-generation Glock series of pistols takes the proven reliability of the Austrian pistols and makes a few changes to further enhance the usability of the guns in the hands of shooters. The Gen 4 Glocks keep the finger grooves added on Gen 3 pistols and adds Glock's Rough Textured Frame (RTF) grip texture to the grip all around, keeping the pistol stable in shooters' hands under recoil and in slick conditions. The Gen 4 pistol also adds the option of a swappable magazine release, so the gun can be more user-friendly for left-handed users. The Gen 4 Glocks also switch from a single coil spring to a new dual-spring design which is a bit more reliable and helps to cut down on felt recoil to a slight degree. This Glock 22 has a 4 ½" barrel and wears a standard set of Glock plastic sights with their white dot front sight and fixed square notch rear sight. Chambered in .40 S&W, the Glock 22 and 23 (compact/mid-size frame) models have historically been very common duty pistols for law enforcement. That is, until .40 S&W has more recently been replaced by 9mm Luger/Parabellum for its less sharp recoil impulse and higher magazine capacities. However, .40 S&W continues to be popular with many in the civilian population for self-defense, hunting, and competition use. The gun has a medium amount of wear on the frame but is in great operating condition. There are some light scratches on the grip and a small amount of finish wear on the slide at the muzzle.
