Original factory nickel at 85% along with crisp factory engraving and markings. Factory checkered grips in great condition. Lanyard ring. 5" rifled barrels meant for .44 shotshell (chambers measure approx 2" to forcing cone). Both hammers work nicely with 1/2 cock as well. Cosmoline grease in recesses and chambers from proper storage is NOT rust(see photos). Working order and as it left the factory in Spain. "J.L Galef" was and American (NYC) importer and outfitter who imported various Spanish and British firearms (BSA) as well as Dynomit-Nobel ammunition prior to WW2 very much like Herters, A&F, G&H, etc. .44 XL shotshell cartridge can made with .44-40 casing I believe.
