Description:
Wonderful early issue high polish SIG P49 with the original hammer group, two correct magazines, correctly dated holster with shoulder strap. The pistol is a standard configuration single action P49 with 4.75” barrel and drift adjustable front and rear sight. The left side of the slide and frame are proofed and marked with the full serial number that is repeated on the right side of the barrel hood. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. “P” release on front of trigger guard. Disassembly shows an original, matching hammer group, without the half cock. Fitted with serrated walnut grips secured with fire blued screw. Fixed lanyard ring. Complete with two high polish magazines and a correct, dated "53" Swiss military holster and unmarked strap.
Condition:
Crisp 97-98+% original salt blue with sharp edge and minor holster wear as you might accept from a service pistol that has seen very light use. Comparable condition grips and original high polish magazines. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+ holster with intact stitching and shoulder strap. A great, early, no-excuse P49 rig, especially nice in having its original matching hammer group!
