"German George Ludwig Rasch of Braunschweig Pair of Percussion Pistols (74225)
Description:
"Made circa 1830 - 1840. 50 caliber rifled bores with 8.5"" barrels. These are in very fine condition with most of the original brown striped finish remaining. The case hardened lock has darkened into an almost black to dark gray patina. The wood is very good as refinished. The trigger guards show very nice engraving. Both guns have set trigger that function perfectly. These are early percussion guns and the locks of the gun still have the profile of flint lock pistols. These guns were built by George Ludwig Rasch of Braunschweig, Germany. Tghe Rasch family were gunmakers continuously from 1630-WWII. Very fine quality pair of Germain Percussion target Pistols!
