Description: Excellent WWI 1918 Dated Erfurt P.08 Luger with 2 Matching Magazines! Offered here for sale is a World War I-era Erfurt Luger which is a highly collectible and historically significant piece, especially given its originality, condition, and matching components. The Erfurt Arsenal Luger was manufactured at the Royal Prussian Arsenal at Erfurt, which produced military firearms for the Imperial German Army during the early 20th century. Unlike the more commonly encountered Lugers from DWM (Deutsche Waffen und Munitionsfabriken), Erfurt Lugers were exclusively military-issue and were not made for commercial or police markets. Lugers made during WWI (especially pre-1918) are considered more collectible due to their limited production and frontline usage. They were issued to German troops and saw active service during one of the most pivotal conflicts in modern history. There are several key aspects which elevate this particular piece- All-matching serial numbers-7836i, with all matching parts—including internals, grips, and notably, two original matching magazines (a rarity in itself). 4" Barrel-standard P.08 military model configuration. Original Finish and Fire-Blue Details. The original strawed and fire-blued parts (like the trigger, safety, extractor, etc.) are intact and visible—another rarity in Lugers over 100 years old. The majority of the original finish is retained with sharp markings and excellent grips. Deep and crisp Erfurt crown and proof marks, acceptance stamps, and date 1918. Excellent condition wooden grips with no sanding or replacement.
