Eibar ~ Ruby Pistol ~ 7.65mm (.32 ACP)
Description: Eibar Ruby pistol, chambered in 7.65mm (.32ACP). Features include: shrouded hammer, crescent slide serrations, checkered wood grips, 9 round heel release magazine, straight blowback design. This Spanish pistol is based on Browning's FN 1903 design. It part of the order of 1 million that the French made to Spain during World War 1. Various Spanish gunmakers were contracted out to produce the quantity needed. The manufacture code is stamped with two letters in a oval on the left side rear of the frame and it is 'HE' which indicated the Hijos de A. Echeverria factory in Eibar Spain was the maker. The two star marks on the magazine well indicate the pistol was approved for French service. The 'MB' on the magazine most likely indicates a different manufacturer, that one being Fa de Martin A. Bascaran also located in Eibar, Spain. The woods grips are showing some age but the checkering is still good. The bore is in excellent condition. The bluing has turned to a brown patina with some loss at various points on the frame and slide. 7.65MM (.32 ACP) SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Chambers: 7.65mm (.32 ACP) Metal Condition: Good Wood Condition: Very Good Bore Condition: Excellent Barrels: 3.25' Sights: Iron Item Location: Fort Mill, SC |
