Description:
Early Red Grip Bern Luger, Swiss Military, caliber 7.65mm Para, made June 1937, with 4.75 inch barrel, drift adjustable front sight, fixed U rear sight, and full matching serial number on barrel, left rail and rear toggle with the last three digits repeated on sideplate and bottom of barrel extension. All small parts with usual inspection markings. NO DISCERNIBLE "P" RELEASE! Forward frame recess marked “6.37” (April 1937). W/F logo on back of frame, uniformly checkered red hard rubber grips with original red plug magazine having blued follower. Original, but later "44" dated military holster for a Bern Luger.
Condition:
EXC original Finish with minimal sharp edge wear in usual locations, typical of a lightly/carefully carried service pistol. Comparable condition grips and magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+ Holster dated “44.” It would be difficult to improve upon this 29 Bern Luger, outstanding in that there is no "P" release marking and that the gun still has its earliest form magazine with blued follower.
