Rare Early 1973 HECKLER & KOCH P9S "Combat" 9mm Para pistol w Original Box & Manual in good condition
Description: Make: Heckler & Koch Model: P9S Serial Number: 103036 Year of Manufacture: 1973 (early issue) Caliber: 9mm Para Action Type: Double and Single Action with Removable Magazine. The decocker can be actuated to cock the hammer for a single action first shot. The P9S trigger operates as a traditional double action. There is a lever on the left side of the pistol grip to both decock a cocked hammer or to manually re-cock it for a single action first shot Markings: The left side of the slide is marked with the HK logo, “Mod. P9S”, “Heckler & Koch GMBH Oberndorf/Neckar / US.Pat.No.3.566.745 Made in Germany”, “1 03 036” and a Bundeswehr acceptance mark. The left frame has “103 036” and two BW acceptance marks. The right side of the frame is marked “73” indicating 1973 as year of manufacture. The barrel at the ejector port is marked with “103 036 HK” and “9 Para” as caliber. Barrel Length: 4 1/8” Sights / Optics: The tall front sight blade has a yellow vertical stripe and is dovetail set into the slide. The rear sight is a square notch with red vertical stripe on each side of the notch. Stock Configuration & Condition: The sculptured plastic grip has a thumb rest on left side and is finely checkered with a HK logo on the left side. The grip rates in about Very Good overall condition indicating that the pistol was not handled/shot much. Type of Finish: Both sides of the slide have smooth, high gloss finish. The top of the slide and the frame have a black matte phosphate finish. The edges of the muzzle and the left sideof the slight shows some holster wear. It looks that this German militarye gun was carried a lot but fired very seldom. There are small scratches or user’s marks anywhere on the pistol. Looks like carried in a holster but seldom taken to the range or into the fields. Finish Originality: 93% Original Bore Condition: The bore is bright and the rifling is polygonal. There is no erosion in the bore Overall Condition: This handgun retains about 93% of its metal finish. Overall, this handgun rates in about Very Good condition. It is a very rare EARLY edition of the H&K P9S with the heavy “Seals” trigger guard. Mechanics: The single / doubleaction trigger pull is crisp. The safety blocks the firing pin when engaged, allowing the hammer to fall without firing the pistol. The decocker serves to cock or un-cock the hammer as well as functioning as a slide release when fully depressed. To un-cock the hammer, the safety is engaged, the de-cocker depressed and the trigger then pulled and released while holding the de-cocker down. The pistol can be shot in single action only mode by swiveling the trigger stop in the trigger guard up until it blocks the trigger from going back far enough to cock and release the hammer. The single action trigger is light and very crisp, although with some take-up, as expected. You can adjust the trigger with the fine adjustment feature also found on this pistol. Assessment: This is a unique pistol with a multi-purpose decocker that can be used to cock and de-cock the hammer as well as release the slide It is great mechanical condition and it should be, as it was built with typical German reliability. Productions was ceased in 1986 and recent prices show a steep increase. The availability of more original HK mags sweetens the deal.oweer 48) Price $ 1,250 plus $50.00 (shipping lower 48) SOLD Curio/Relic: Yes Handgun Caliber: 9x19mm Parabellum (9mm Luger, 9x19mm NATO) Manufacturer: Heckler & Koch Model: P9S Combat Serial Number: 103036 Barrel Length: 4 1/8 Condition: Good Metal Condition: Good Item Location: Las Vegas NV |
