Description: Synopsis: Scarce Super Early Mauser Prewar Commercial C96, Matching Stock, 35952, FB01060 Description: Mauser made very few of these very early Prewar Commercial C96s with a long extractor, reminiscent of earlier production. This high condition and all original example is otherwise identical to the early Standard Prewar Commercial Pistols in having a 5.5" barrel, fixed front sight, and slip-in 50-1000 rear sight. Long extractor, two lug firing pin, SR hammer. Mauser address on top of chamber, full serial number on left chamber flat. C/C/U on left side of barrel extension. VL & D importer marking in left frame recess. Two line Mauser address on right side of frame. Serrated walnut grips. Lanyard ring present. Disassembly shows all matching serial numbers. Complete with factory matching shoulder stock. Condition: VG-EXC original condition with sharp edge wear and occasional speckling as carefully photographed. Comparable condition strawed and fire blued small parts. Mirror Bore. Perfect manual mechanics. VG+ shoulder stock with most fire blue having faded from the lug. Wood with oil stains and scattered handling marks, but no cracks or splits.
