Synopsis: Early SIG Sauer P220 in 9mmP, made in Switzerland, Neuchatel Police, bottom magazine release with factory guard. Description: One of the earliest SIG Sauer P220s, this example with folded slide, assembled in Switzerland, for issue to the Neuchatel Police, and having the same kind of bottom magazine release guard as found on the Swiss Zoll-issued pistols. Standard white highlighted front and rear sights. The left side of the slide is marked with a large eagle within a shield, wings outstretched, very similar to the symbol that was also used by the German Federal Police and the Police of Brandenburg. The right side of the slide is marked to reflect assembly in Switzerland. Matching serial numbers on the barrel, slide and frame. Checkered black plastic grips. Correct SIG Sauer magazine with 8 indicator holes, a zippered spine, and a detachable floorplate. Condition: VG+ original condition with sharp edge wear and thinning as one might expect from a service pistol that has seen moderate use. Surprisingly little wear to the anodized frame. Excellent grips and near excellent magazine. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics.
