Wonderful, Matching, High Original Condition SIG SP47/8 in desirable 9mmP caliber complete with black hardshell police holster. A classic early SIG that should please any advanced collector.
Description:
Standard configuration single action SIG SP 47/8 pistol in 9mmP with 4.75” barrel, drift adjustable semi-patridge front sight, drift adjustable rear sight and loaded indicator. The left side of the slide is marked “S.P.47/8 SIG.” The full serial number is repeated on the left side of the frame, the right side of the barrel hood and under the slide/over the firing pin housing. Last three digits on the hammer group. Safety detents are marked with an “S” in white and “F” in red. Fitted with serrated walnut grips that have no prevision for the absent lanyard ring as correct for this pistol. Secured with fire blued screw. Early high polish unmarked magazine with 7 indicator holes and removable floorplate. Complete with black leather police holster, marked ULRICH REUSSER/RUFENACHT, with correct lined shoulder strap.
Condition:
At least 97+% bright, original blue with holster wear as expected from a pistol that has only seen very light field use. Comparable condition grips. Excellent original finish magazine. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. One of the earliest SIG pistols, made before the either the P210 or the P49 series went into production, many having been used by the Swiss Police as suggested by the included holster. A real gem for the advanced collector.
