Classic French military M.A.C., Model 1950 pistol, whose design was liberally borrowed for SIG's world-class P210/P49 pistols. An attractive original pistol with a surprisingly bright bore complete with an original holster.
Description:
Standard configuration French military Model 1950 made by Manufacture d’Armes de Châtellerault (MAC), with single action function, hammer block safety, and separable hammer group in caliber 9mmP, whose production began in 1953 and continued to 1963 before being transferred to MAS. This particular gun, in the "B" block, was numbered 2180. Influenced by the 1935 S, the pistol is larger and has a longer grip frame for a 9 shot in-line magazine. The left side of the slide is marked with the initials ‘MAC.’ The right side of the slide references the model and caliber. Country of origin and serial number on the right side of the frame. As typical for many military pistols of this era, it is a single action, locked breech gun with a fixed front sight, notched rear sight and a top mounted loaded indicator. Fitted with black Bakelite grips with horizontal serrations. Parkerized magazine with 8 indicator holes and a detachable floorplate marked "1950". Complete with an original, black leather, soft shell military holster with pouch for spare magazine and rotating belt loop.
Condition:
VG+ original parkerizing with typical holster/handling-related sharp edge wear and toning as often seen on military pistols that have been in service for an extended period. Original grips whose handling marks are consistent with the overall condition of pistol. Comparable condition magazine. Bright bore, lightly etched, easily discernible rifling. Correct manual mechanics. Near excellent holster with a few handling marks.
Insured shipping fee of $70; package shipped FedEx 2nd Day.
