Here we present a C&R French “Unique” Semi-Automatic Pocket Pistol made by Manufacturer d’Armes des Pyrenees Francais (MAPF) circa 1923 through 1945 in France. Unique pistols are semi-automatic Ruby type pistols manufactured by MAPF in France, before, during, and after WW2 and are mainly known to collectors due to their use by the Germans in the Second World War. In addition to the Model 16, Model 17, and Kriegsmodell used by the Wehrmacht, MAPF offered ten other models based on Browning designs, a small line of Mikros, Walther Model 9 copies, and numerous trade pistols for gun sellers in France and beyond.

The overall condition is fine. Original finish is preserved. Excellent action. The bore is bright with sharp rifling. Solid grips. Markings are sharp. The holster is in good shape. This example includes a German "jhg/44" code black leather flap holster.
