Standard configuration Bergmann 1903 with 4” barrel having fixed front and rear sights. Left side of barrel extension marked “CAL.9.” The locking block on top of slide marked with Bergman Mars patent reference. Crown/Crown/U on barrel, barrel extension and left side of trigger guard. Serial number under barrel. Walnut checkered grips, unnumbered, with fine border, secured with single transverse screw. Replacement/reworked magazine #779.
Condition:
VG+ original rust blue finish, with muzzle and sharp edge wear as one might expect from a lightly used pistol. . Comparable condition fire blue on locking block, rear sight and safety lever. Same holds true for the straw on hammer and trigger. Replacement/reworked magazine whose removal is a little sticky. Original grips, oil darkened, with blunted
checkering and scattered handling marks. No suggestion of enhancement. Bright Bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. A very nice Bergmann M1903, a real find for those interested in early developmental pistols!
