The VP9A1 is an updated version of the H&K‚s legendary VP9 series of striker-fired handgun. The handgun combines the beloved features of the original VP9 with updated grip panels, improved ambidextrous controls, and an enhanced trigger with a nickel-teflon coating for a smoother pull and cleaner break. The VP9A1 also includes a flared magwell for faster reloads along with additional front and rear maritime serrations to allow for easier handling under extreme conditions. The slide includes an optic-ready cut for use with adapter plates or the Holosun SCS VP9-series direct-mount red dot sights.

The F variant is the full-sized model that sports a longer barrel and grip for improved handling and reduced recoil. This model comes in a special package that features a Vortex Defender-CCW-E enclosed solar micro red dot sight. The Defender-CCW-E features a 3/32 MOA circle-dot reticle along with a rugged fully-enclosed design and an integrated solar panel allowing for 150,000 hours of operational time. A side-loading battery port allows for quick and easy battery changes without removing the sight. Two 10-round magazines are included.
