1968-1981 Vintage High Standard Model 107 Military Supermatic Citation .22 Pistol
** MINT Example! **SALE PENDING**
Description:
This is a flat-mint vintage High Standard Model 107 Military Supermatic Citation .22 caliber pistol. While there is no way to know for sure, this pistol appears unfired since leaving the factory and is in pristine condition inside and out. This pistol was built sometime between 1968 and 1981, and was one of High Standard's top-of-the-line .22 Long Rifle target pistols. These pistols were built on the "military" style frame and were hand-built by the best gunsmiths that High Standard employed. Each pistol was built by the same man from start to finish, and the attention to detail and fit and finish were second to none. If the pistol was finished and it didn't shoot exceptionally well it was not sold. The Model 107 Military Supermatic Citation quickly earned a reputation as the most accurate regular production semi-auto pistol made. It would out-shoot any regular-production American-made pistol available. These beautiful and exceptionally accurate handguns are sought-after by collectors and shooters alike today, with pristine examples like this one very hard to find. This example is serial number 2284893 and features a gloss blue finish, a color case-hardened trigger and magazine release, a push-button quick-release heavy round bull barrel, factory adjustable target sights with a bridged rear sight adjustable for both windage and elevation, a adjustable tuned target trigger with an over-travel stop, a detachable 10-round single-stack magazine, a textured front and rear grip strap, and hand-checkered Walnut target grips with a right-handed thumb shelf. This Supermatic Citation looks brand-new and is in mint condition. The factory gloss blue finish is flawless and beautiful, showing no wear or marring and rating 99% plus. The case colors on the trigger and magazine release are also like-new, showing bright color and zero fading or wear. The bore in this Supermatic Citation is mirror-bright and pristine with sharp lands and grooves in the rifling and no visible wear or pitting. The target crown on the barrel is perfect, and the quick-change barrel itself is perfectly tight to the frame with no wiggle. The factory grips on this High Standard look like-new and are free from any wear, chips, cracks, repairs, or soiling. Both grips are perfectly fit to the gun and tight to the frame, and the checkering is still sharp and crisp. The action on this pistol is slick and precise, and the frame-to-slide fitment is perfect. The internals of this Model 107 Military are just as pristine and free from wear as the exterior. All of the controls are in perfect working order and the trigger is exceptional, breaking with a light pull like a thin glass rod. For all intents and purposes this High Standard is new, and there is no doubt that it will function just as reliably and accurately today as the day it left the factory over 40 years ago. Whether you are looking for a minty all-original example to add to your collection as an investment or looking for a world-class .22 target pistol to shoot with your buddies, this High Standard Model 107 Military Supermatic Citation would be a superb choice.
