Hi Standard Model "E" .22 LR Target Pistol with King Target Sights Front & Rear. Top of the Line High Standard.

Description:
SOLD PENDING RECEIPT OF FUNDS THANKS HENRY! Hi Standard Model "E" Target .22 Long Rifle Pistol. This was High Standard's top of the line target pistol at the time of manufacture. Curios and Relics eligible. This pistol was modified by the famous King's Gun works in California. A King's Target rear sight was milled into the slide similar to the way a Smith & Wesson rear sight is milled into the topstrap. First rate workmanship. Also has a King's front sight that is marked King's. Correct wooden factory checkered grips which are often referred to as "Roper" grips. Pistol shows bluing wear on metal surfaces. Very good to Excellent condition overall, and mechanically perfect. No rust or pitting, and the condition of the screws are good. Blue is original. Grips have normal wear, but no cracks or chips. One correct two tone Hi Standard Magazine. Magazines are common, as they are same as was used in the HD series pistols. 6 3/4" Heavy (the heaviest that they then offered) target barrel which is characteristic of High Standard's top of the line target pistol. Colt Woodsman's that have been modified are more valuable today than original Woodsmans, all other things being equal. A great target pistol High Standard.
