THis is a post war (WW2) MODEL H-B Type 2. The metal is in 98 to 99% condition and the black hard rubber (or plastic) grips with the H.S. monogram set in are in 99% condition. . The hammer is exposed, there is an external safety and the sights are fixed. The metal has a high polish blue finish. There is a 10 shot blued magazine. The barrel is 6 & 1/2" long and it fires .22LR cartridges. A nice early High Standard. Approximately 25,000 were made. This one is believed to ave been made in 1948. Made in the New Haven, Conn. factory-known for high quality.
