What a beauty and the original box. You would think that the gun has never been fired from carefully examining it. However, the original owner recorded the ammo shot on the outside of the box.. It appears that every year or so he fired 20 round for a total of 80 rounds. This is the most pristine used gun I have ever seen. The original box which is serial numbered to the gun is marked Hamden CT. however the gun is stamped E. Hartford. The first batch produced in East Hartford were indeed made from Hamden, Ct. produced parts. The gun is flat out mint. Not even the usual flaking found on the gold trigger and mag release. The gun has the very early full rib. The feed ramp and bolt face show no use. The walnut checkered thumb rest grips are flawless and like the grip straps show no wear. The parts are all correct and the barrel is as new. The rifling is razor sharp and mirror bright. The gun comes with the original box and one correct High Standard magazine. What a beauty for the collection or an X ring destroyer for the range....$895
