Synopsis: High Standard, Model B, US Military, 103206, PCA-186 Description: Attractive and unusual High Standard Model B as made during WWII for the US Military, this example later sent to Britain as part of the Lend Lease program with added British proofs. Standard configuration pistol with 4.5” barrel, serrated ramp front sight, and drift adjustable rear sight. Usual High Standard markins on left side of frame and slide. “PROPERTY OF U.S.” on top of barrel and right side of frame with added ordnance wheel. Serial number on front strap. British proofs on rear of right slide, rear of right frame, and the more extensive proofing under the barrel. Fitted with black HS logo checkered plastic grips. Correct magazine having electropenciled 103548 on floorplate. Condition: VG+ with light holster wear and scattered handling marks/knicks as so often found on the Lend Lease firearms. Original grips in the same condition with moderate wear, flattened diamonds, and scattered impressions. G-VG magazine. Mirror bore. Perfect manual mechanics.
