Very attractive Original Condition Ithaca 1911A1 pistol, U.S. Military, WWII, made 1943.
Description:
Standard configuration 1911A1 manufactured by Ithaca in 1943, the left side of the slide marked with the usual two-line Ithaca address. The model designation, SN, and U.S. Army markings are on the right side of the frame. Proofing includes the “P” on top of the slide and on the left frame below the magazine release, both breaking through the parkerized finish. The left side of the frame has the “FJA” inspection mark while the ordnance wheel is lightly stamped on the right frame near the tang. It is fitted with blade and notch sights, serrated slide release, thumb safety, narrow serrated hammer, short grip safety, and checkered Keyes Fiber grips with screw reinforcements. Correct blued magazine marked with an ‘S’ on the toe. Disassembly shows barrel lug marked with "P" and "F". Complete with Boyt U.S. Military shoulder holster same- dated 1943.
Condition:
Very good original parkerized finish with sharp edge, holster, and handling wear consistent with a service pistol having seen moderate use. Comparable grips and magazine. Bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. Comparable condition shoulder holster. A very attractive and all original U.S. military classic rig that would fit any collection!
