Offered here for sale as a monthly special is this innovative 9MM made by the Keltec  Corporation of Miami, Florida. At the time it came out, it was widely advertised as one of the lightest and flattest 9 mm pistols made for concealed carry.

Kel?Tec CNC Industries was founded in 1991 by Swedish firearms designer George Kellgren. Kellgren previously worked for Husqvarna Vapenfabriks AB and Intratec (designer of the TEC-9 style pistols). He moved to the United States and started Kel-Tec to produce lightweight, innovative firearms using polymer and CNC machining.
Many firearms historians and shooters say Kel-Tec helped start the “ultra-thin concealed carry pistol” trend. Kel-Tec’s small polymer pistols proved there was strong demand for very thin carry guns.
Afterward many companies released similar pistols, such as:

• Smith & Wesson M&P Shield
• Glock 43
• Springfield Armory XD?S

Kel-Tec did not dominate the market, but it introduced the concept first, with larger companies later refining and mass-marketing the idea.
