This 1940 chamber date 42 code Mauser rig is very nice with the pistol having a matching magazine. The 1940 holster comes with an inspected tool and correct but mismatched aluminum base 122 marked spare magazine. The 4"" 9mm barrel has a very good bore with firing erosion. The gun has approx 98% blue. The receiver has two eagle over 655 acceptance stamps and the eagle test fire proof. All parts, including the firing pin, are matching. The excellent unnumbered grips have the eagle over 655 inspection inside the panels. The action functions correctly. The holster is fine with tight stitching. It is marked on the rear cdg over 40 wtih an eagle over WaA101 Waffenamt to the right. Below is P.08. The only way to upgrade from this rig is to find one with two matching magazines -- and pay the extra freight for it.
