Seller's Inventory #: PR55051

Only about 2,000 1914 Commercial Lugers were made circa late 1913-1914. They can be identified by their late flat toggle knobs, stock lug, lack of grip safety, commercial crown over N proofs, and serial number in the 71000 to 72500 range. This gun is serial number 71424. The 4"" 9mm barrel has a fine bore with firing wear. The gun has the correct crown over N proofs and is numbered on the front of the frame and barrel. The small parts are numbered in the commercial manner (e.g. bottom of the side plate) and are matching. The gun retains approx. 97% blue and 85% straw finish. The unnumbered grips are fine with light wear. The unumubered wood base magazine is very good with some wood loss to the base on one side. The action functions correctly. This scarce gun could fill that hole in your collection.
