This G date (1935) S/42 (Mauser) Police Luger has the late eagle over 63 acceptance marks. It also has the police sear safety spring. The 4"" 9mm barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The full serial number 1409f (less the f) is found on the bottom of the barrel, the front of the frame (with the f), Haenel Schmeisser magazine (with a 1) and the left side of the receiver. The last two digits, 09, are on the small parts. The firing pin and grips are not numbered. The gun retains approx. 98% blue and 90% straw finish. The grips are fine with light wear. The action functions correctly. The holster is fine with intact stitching. The takecdown tool tab has broken through its flap. It is marked FRANZ COBAU over BERLIN over 1935 with a sunburst symbol with what appears to be a K in the center below the maker's marking. The numbers, 9532, are on the top right rear. A like new unmarked takedown tool and spare mismatched Hanel Schmeisser magazine complete the rig. This is a great Luger police rig, especially given the matching magazine and 1935 holster.
