This is an excellent Swiss 1906 Pattern (also known as the 06/24) Bern Luger. The key identification features are the Swiss cross over WAFFENFABRIK over BERN on the toggle and the lack of a serial number on the left side of the receiver. The 4.75"" 7.65mm (30 Luger) barrel has an excellent bore with bright, strong rifling. The gun has approx. 98% blue and straw finish. The left side of the receiver has the intetwined BP proof (Bernerprobe Proof) followed by a rectangle with a Cross over M inside (olonel Muhlemann inspector). The trigger guard has a P at the front. The right front of the receiver has the Swiss cross. The full serial number is on the front of the frame and bottom of the barrel. Most small parts have the last two or three digits, 787, of the serial number. The matching grips are excellent. The wood base nickel plated magazine is correctly unnumbered. The action functions correctly. This is a wonderful example of the first Luger made outside Germany.
